Study the regular course map. After going up the Deer Trail, across the ridge and back on Broad Run Road (618), then left on Wildlife Rd. (224), you will check in at the start/finish area before going back onto Wildlife Road headed in the same direction as the start. This time, just like the regular XC course, you will climb the Grouse Trail, turn right on the ridgetop, travel 1.2 miles, then down the Deer Trail, which you had climbed earlier. You then turn left at the bottom, around the Ring O' Fire, left on Wildlife Rd. back to the start/finish. You are done. 34.9 miles. Or so.
